Competitive

U8 Team

AGE: 6 - 8 years old

COURT: ¼ of a regulation court (11m long x 5.5m wide)

RACQUET: 19 or 21 inches (depending on player’s size)

RED BALL: 75% less compression than a regulations ball

RULES: Non-elimination format, Games up to 7 or 11 points

GOAL: To develop players who can successfully compete at age/level appropriate tournaments by instilling love to play and desire to run for every ball, teaching how to outlast the opponent in every game situation while building a solid technical base for future development.


U9 Team

AGE: 7 - 8 years old

COURT: ¾ of a regulation court (18m long x 6.4m wide)

RACQUET: 23 or 25 inches (depending on player’s size)

BALL: 50% less compression than a regulations ball

RULES: Non-elimination format, No-ad scoring, Short sets (4 games)

GOAL: To develop players who can successfully compete at age/level appropriate tournaments by instilling love to compete and discipline to keep every ball in play and teaching how to win more points using basic tactics while building a solid technical base for future development.


U10 Team

AGE: 8 - 9 years old

GREEN COURT: Same size as a regulation court

RACQUET: 25, 26 or 27 inches (depending on player’s size)

GREEN BALL: 25% less compression than a regulations ball

RULES: Non-elimination format, No-ad scoring, Short sets (4 games)

GOAL: To develop players who can successfully compete at age/level appropriate tournaments by instilling love to compete and commitment to put in their best effort, and teaching how to win more points by recognizing phases of play and executing appropriate response while building a solid technical base that promotes the all-court game.


U12 Team

AGE: 10 - 11 years old

COURT: Regulation court

RACQUET: 26 or 27 inches (depending on player’s size)

BALL: Regulations ball

RULES: Non-elimination & elimination format provincial tournaments, Regulation rules

GOAL: To develop players who can successfully compete at age/level appropriate tournaments by retaining love to compete and commitment to take personal responsibility, and teaching how to win more points using one's strengths and exploiting opponent's weaknesses, while improving techniques required for effective stroking.


13+ Team

AGE: 13 – 17 years old COURT: Regulation court  RACQUET: 27 inches (depending on player’s size) BALL: Regulations ball RULES: Non-elimination & elimination format provincial tournaments, Regulation rules GOAL: To develop players who can successfully compete at age/level appropriate tournaments by retaining love to compete and commitment to pursue one's goals, and teaching how to win more points dictating one's game style and handling challenges posed by the opponent, while improving techniques required for effective stroking.

Competitive Team Play

GOAL:  Our competitive Team Play sessions provide players with required match experience and the opportunity to improve executing in a real game what they’ve learned in Practice. It serves no purpose to develop players' skills without giving them sufficient time to play the game, which is essential to improve their performance.

More importantly, the team aspect of our sessions gradually prepares players to cope with the individual nature of tennis and improve their longevity in competitive sports through many benefits similar to those seen in team sports such as:

1.     Increased level of engagement, fun & competitiveness 2.     Increased level of mental & emotional support in competition 3.     Lowered level of anxiety & fear of losing
